Welcome to the News blog.
What is Right, or what is Wrong ?
We all must live by laws and rules otherwise there would be anarchy and corruption on massive scales, just look at some overseas countries crippled by this lack of respect for laws and rules.
Surprisingly local mildura media outlets who named another councilor as a "Dobber" , display their lack of Professionalism with the use of this vindictive expression, Media relies heavily on people to "cough up information" so they can make a living from their relay of information, they may just have closed their doors to others who may wish to feed them news items that are in the public interest ?.
Interesting to read that all the "Local Mainstream Mildura Media" appears to have sided with the "Guilty" counciliors, and are condeming with all their Media Might, the lone councilor who bought the breaches of the law to the public attention.
Next we may even see the Local media condeming the Police for prosecuting vilians / thieves who break the law, interesting times we are living in.
Are their more disclosures of "Conflicts" with-in Mildura Cty Council , we watch with great interest ?
Source, Sunraysia Daily , ABC Local Radio:
Cr Nichols yesterday pleaded guilty to two charges of failing to disclose a conflict while serving on Wentworth Shire Council. She was placed on a six-month good behaviour bond without conviction or fine.
Last month Cr Eckel, also avoided conviction, but was ordered to donate $1000 to Mildura Base Hospital and pay $2000 in court costs for breaching the Local Government Act.

Locust, Invasion ? Delicacy ? Media Stunt backfire ? you be the judge
Recently we saw the Mildura Mayor "kick off" a local and International awareness campaign of what mildura residents and tourists are doing with the pesky Locusts that invaded the region for a few weeks, and have now dissapeard (till next spring) .
One wonders if they are still on the "menu" in langtree ave, and what the local health officials, retail and tourist industry did about this purported selling of plague insects gathered in garbage bags and sold in a prestigious food outlet ?
Not my favourite Pizza, But, make up you own mind, some links below.

The Might River Murray ?

Source: The Daily Telegraph
John and Roslyn Kersey
IT is for tourists and travellers like John and Roslyn Kersey tell the story of the once-mighty Murray.
The couple from Far North Queensland returned to the Murray just south of Mildura yesterday for the first time in 30 years.
They hadn't seen it since visiting with their then 3-year-old son, Craig.
It was among the happiest times of his life. The couple tried to return to recapture that magic - they should have stayed home.
"For what the Murray is supposed to be and from what I am looking at now, it is a scary situation," Mr Kersey said.
"It is a dramatic change from when we were here last. My memories were of a much bigger, much more majestic river but this is just a shadow.
"We've all seen the advertising and tourist brochures, all the pictures and images of the grand Murray but in reality it is nothing like that any more.
"We've got creeks in North Queensland that are bigger."
Sitting on the banks of the Murray in the Hattah-Kulkyne National Park, Mr Kersey couldn't lay the blame with anyone other than the cruel cycle of nature.
