I believe, The Qio Card Reader will cost around $999 US
over $1500inc GST Australian,
£ 799.25 Inc VAT in the UK.
When considering this card reader features, and that it will read so many card variants , if you compared that to a tape based VTR , it would have the ability to playback/record many formats, that alone is more than well worth the cost of the QIO, and compare that up against the costs of the Panasonic 5 slot readers, you may have enough have dollars left over towards the purchase of an E-series P2 card.
PS, QIO user performance reports to date show the QIO reader on P2 cards is not as fast as expected when copying P2 cards to HDD's.
So the soon to be released panasonic single card USB-2 reader may well take the mantle of the loswest cost add-on solution, time will tell.
